Atsuko Kudo Latex Catsuit
I’ve been lusting after this Atsuko Kudo latex catsuit.
I already have plenty of latex in my wardrobe, of course. But Atsuko Kudo is different. This is latex with a reputation. Beautifully cut, exquisitely finished and designed to make the body look almost impossibly good.
If I’m going to indulge in another catsuit, it has to be tailor made to perfection.
Why Atsuko Kudo?
Atsuko Kudo has become one of the names in luxury latex for a reason. Her designs have appeared on celebrities, catwalks and magazine covers. I’m all about fetish and fashion so it’s the natural first choice.
Some latex is obviously made for the dungeon. Some is made to look daring on a red carpet. Atsuko Kudo manages to occupy that rather wonderful space between the two.
The Classic Catsuit in particular has been tempting me.
There is something gloriously uncompromising about being completely enveloped in latex. No little panels of fabric to soften the effect. No apologetic concessions. Just a smooth, gleaming second skin following every curve from neck to ankle.
And I know exactly how I want mine.
Made to measure, naturally
A catsuit is one garment where fit really matters.
Latex should cling. It should follow the waist, hips, bottom and legs properly rather than simply stretching enough to accommodate them. A beautiful catsuit that bunches in the wrong places rather defeats the object.
So if I succumb to this particular temptation, I want mine custom made to my measurements.
There is also something wonderfully decadent about that idea. This isn’t an outfit casually plucked from a rail. Someone takes your measurements, the garment is made for your body, and what eventually arrives belongs to your shape alone.
For something at Atsuko Kudo prices, that is exactly how I would want to do it.
And then there’s the zip…
Now we come to the detail that really caught my attention.
The Classic Catsuit can apparently be ordered with a three-way through-crotch zip.
Obviously, I want it.
There are practical reasons for having a crotch zip in a catsuit, but practicality is hardly the first thing that springs to my mind.
Part of the appeal of latex is the delicious contradiction between covering almost everything and somehow making the wearer look considerably more provocative than if they were wearing very little at all. A through-crotch zip takes that idea one step further.
The catsuit stays on.
I think you can work out the rest.
It also feels particularly appropriate for me. If I am going to commission a beautifully fitted, luxurious latex catsuit, why would I choose a version that has to come off just when things are getting interesting?
That would be terribly poor planning.
The difficult question: what colour?
Black is the obvious choice. Glossy black latex is timeless, severe and unmistakably fetish. It would look fabulous with a corset, heels and gloves, and I can already imagine several existing pieces in my wardrobe that would work with it.
But if I’m having something made especially for me, perhaps I should be less predictable.
Red would be wonderfully brazen. Translucent latex has its own particular wickedness. A deep wine or plum could be gorgeous. Then there are the more unusual Atsuko Kudo colours that make the catsuit feel less like traditional fetishwear and more like an extraordinary piece of fashion.
This may require considerably more staring at colour charts.
What a hardship.
An expensive temptation
There is no pretending an Atsuko Kudo catsuit is an impulse purchase. Once you start with the catsuit, add the through-crotch zip and then consider custom sizing, you are firmly in luxury territory.
But perhaps that is part of why I’m lusting after it.
I don’t want another disposable outfit that photographs nicely twice and then disappears into the back of my wardrobe. I want something spectacular. Something fitted precisely to me. Something I can polish until it gleams, pull on slowly and immediately feel transformed.
A proper investment in decadence.
Custom fitted. Skin tight. Shining.
